BREAKING: Suspect in Failed Hyannis Mugging Furious that Victim “Didn’t Fight Fair” in Foiling Muggi
“That Motherf@&ker looked all seriousness and pointed behind me and yelled, “What the hell is that,” when I pulled my knife on him. And he was so serious that I looked and he knocked me out. F@#king bulls*&t. Fight like a man,” 34-year-old Tony Lauzon told police, when taken into custody.
On Thursday night at approximately 10:37 PM, Barnstable Police arrived on the scene of an apparent argument. When approached, Tony Lauzon, the suspect, pointed at the alleged victim, who chose to remain anonymous, telling the officer, “This mother@&ker don’t fight fair.”
Further questioning revealed that the altercation was the result of a foiled mugging attempt by Lauzon, and that Mr. Lauzon was apparently upset that the alleged victim effectively deceived and disarmed him.
The alleged victim told the officer that Mr. Lauzon had attempted to rob him with the knife that the alleged victim was now holding, and that Mr. Lauzon had apparently chosen to remain with the alleged victim because Lauzon was upset with the way the alleged victim foiled the mugging attempt.
In a case of what was apparently, “The oldest trick in the book,” the alleged victim seems to have pointed behind Mr. Lauzon and to have told him to look behind him, to which Mr. Lauzon obliged, and then the alleged victim smartly knocked the suspect to the ground and took the knife.
Mr. Lauzon was taken into custody and was visibly upset over the way in which the alleged victim tricked and disarmed him. “I work really hard. I ain’t try to mug someone and take a cheap shot like that. He ain’t got no prayer in court.”
Lauzon feels that the alleged victim’s, “cheap shot,” will clear him of all charges, saying, “Fight like a man. A real man don’t resort to that bulls#!t.”
When asked for comment, Sheriff Cummings told reporters, “Obviously Mr. Lauzon is a tourist, inflating our crime numbers. We belong just outside the top 100 most dangerous places in the United States. We’re not in the top 100. There is no problem here.”
We will be monitoring this situation carefully. There will be updates as the legal process unfolds.
