Bill Clinton: ‘All Right, if You Want Trump to Run Against Me, I’ll Put my Name on the Ballot’
“I was confused at first because I thought my wife was the one running,” the President told reporters, “But now it all makes sense: the people want me on the ballot, so now I am.”
Despite the United States Constitution-imposed term limits for a President, President Clinton seems determined to be elected for a third term.
“All the personal attacks against my wife have been directed toward me,” President Clinton told reporters, “So obviously, I’m really the one running.”
When asked what he thought of the two-term maximum for Presidents, Clinton shrugged and said, “Well, there’s also supposed to be nine Supreme Court Justices, and there are only eight because the Republicans don’t care about the law, so why should I?”
President Clinton might have a point. Recently, our legal department has told us that the US Constitution has served as more of a, ‘system of guidelines,’ rather than as a strict system of rules and regulations used to govern a nation.
“I was always of the belief that my wife was not responsible for my idiotic actions all those years ago,” President Clinton added. “I thought I was in the wrong and I let her down, but I guess her opponent’s supporters don’t see it that way. They think she’s an extension of me, and if I’m who they want, then here I am.”
It will be fascinating to see what President Clinton’s entry into the race will do to the electorate. Early polls have him leading both his wife and Trump by a wide margin.
