“It wasn’t a mistake,” says Shawn Poulter, 22, of Bangor, Maine. “It was all intentional. I meant to all it the whole time. A lot of people don’t believe me. They think I just don’t know anything about photography. Well, they’re wrong.”

(Poulter's "Personal Favorite" Photo, Titled, "Corner of Room with Expensive Tripod")

Poulter says he’s proud that his photos have finally been published on a prestigious website. He says his parents helped a little, namely, his father, who Poulter says made a generous charitable donation to the nonprofit organization in order to get the photos published.

When asked what the critics said about his photos, Poulter replied, “I don’t care what they say. All of them talked less about the photos and more about nepotism. Some of them called the photos trash, and said that nepotism was destroying the once-proud nonprofit organization, but they’re just jealous.”

Poulter told us that he’s now selling prints on a website his parents bought for him, but so far, no one has bought a single one. But he’s not worried.

“The money will start coming in any day now,” Poulter told us.
