US Supreme Court: 1st Amendment Actually Does Allow Americans to Say and do Whatever They Want Witho
In a landmark decision on Monday, the US Supreme Court ruled that the first Amendment of The United States Constitution prevents any US citizen from ever having to suffer any consequences of any sort for any of their words or actions.
"That's what everyone thinks the amendment means anyway," said Justice Clarence Thomas, "So we figured we'd just give the people what they want."
The government can now legally not stop anyone from saying or doing anything as long as it can be considered a form of expressing oneself. I spoke to one man in Danvers, Massachusetts, and asked him for his thoughts.
"I think it's great," said 48-year-old Arthur Brooks, "I got a list of people I need to freely express myself to. They put me in prison for it last time, but now they can't."
This decision was certainly long overdue, as many experts feel it will allow the nation to move forward.
